The anticipation of meeting our first child had been mounting for months and months. We were passed our due date and prepared for that middle of the night moment where we rush to the hospital to meet our child, just like they show in the movies. However, on June 8, 2021 we heard words we never imagined would be said to us - "we can't find a heartbeat...".

It was 24 hours until we got to meet our sweet child, a baby girl whose name was picked out for nearly a year and a half - Levitt Rose. She was perfect, but still. This was the beginning of a journey we never wanted to be on, but we didn't and don't have the choice. Our first born deserves the world, even if she never even knew it.

The ensuing days, weeks, and months were a complete fog. It was hard to find reason for most anything, but we kept telling ourselves that we had to for Levitt. She kept us going and still does today. We found an incredible community of people that have their own unique stories that share so many similarities to ours, which has been incredibly comforting. 

Star Legacy creates safe places for people experiencing hurt they likely never have heard about, and certainly don't know how to handle, tolerate, or navigate. This walk is aimed at bringing both Awareness and Financial Support for an organization filled with people that want to help those reeling the loss of their children find a way back on their feet.
