Join us for a fun-filled night of cocktails, dinner, merriment, and more at the 2nd Annual Rhode Island Magic of Hope Gala & Auction! It's a festive gathering in support of the local Parkinson's community, with many ways to support the American Parkinson Disease Association, Rhode Island Chapter. Every dollar raised goes to provide the support, education, and research that will help everyone impacted by Parkinson's disease live life to the fullest!

Parkinson's is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder, and an estimated one million people in the U.S. are living with Parkinson’s disease, including thousands of families in Rhode Island impacted by the disease. Our goal is to raise more than $100,000 from this year’s gala, increase awareness about PD, and support the local community, all while having a fabulous night together in the heart of downtown Providence!

When & Where?
Saturday, March 7, 2026
Omni Providence  | 1 West Exchange Street, Providence, RI 02903  (We highly recommend taking a taxi/Uber to the event if possible.)
Cocktail Hour begins at 6:00 pm.
Silent Auction begins virtually on Monday, March 2, at Noon and closes on Saturday, March 7, at 8:00 pm.  Only attendees can bid on items. 

Schedule of Events
The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour and a silent auction. Then head to your seats to enjoy a fabulous dinner, a reception, a live auction, and more to support the APDA Rhode Island mission.  The silent auction remains open until 8:45 pm.  Bidding occurs right from the comfort of your seats through the Givi App.  Download and set up your account before the event.  

Attendees
We anticipate around 180 guests will attend, many of whom have been touched personally or professionally by Parkinson's, as well as those who want to fundraise for an important cause! 

Attire
Black-Tie Optional. Wear your best cocktail attire and join us for a festive evening.

We rely on in-kind item donations to help make our event a success. We can use your help! Please fill out the Donate an Auction Item form if you would like to share a fabulous cabin or summer home, a unique experience, sports tickets or paraphernalia, restaurant gift cards, or other valued items.

How to Participate and Bid on Auction Items

Step 1: Purchase tickets to our event here

Step 2: Download the Givi App on your mobile device by clicking here(What is Givi? Click to learn more.)  You will need to use the Givi app to bid at the event.

Step 3: Sign up on the Givi app or website using the email you used when you registered & add your payment information. 

Step 4:  A preview of the auction items will be available beginning Sunday, March 1, at Noon ET.

Step 5: On March 2 at Noon, Start Bidding!
