I’m beyond excited to be participating in the 4th Annual Rides & Strides—my very first breast cancer awareness walk! This year, my team, Hakuna Ma Tatas, will be walking 5K to raise funds for the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation Inc. and to honor the incredible strength of those who have faced breast cancer.
This cause means so much to me personally. I’ve seen loved ones, friends, and family members bravely battle this disease—some who continue to fight, some who have triumphed, and others we remember and celebrate every day. Walking in their honor is my way of giving back, raising awareness, and standing up for women’s health and early screenings.
