The Ridge-A-Thon Story:Ridge-A-Thon started in 1997 to help Ben Myers, a local Taos extreme skier, who passed away from cancer at age 26. Friends of his held the first Ridge-A-Thon to collect money to pay for his medical expenses. Ben is still so fondly remembered by his community and each year we take the time to continue the event in order to help others. Over the last 20 years, the Ridge-A-Thon has raised over $640,000 dollars to assist our local non-profit organizations do their best work in helping people in our community in the areas of health and basic needs. help us continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those in our community.
