Walking for Students Who Inspire Me!

Two years of my life were spent teaching at Abundant Life Institute (IVA) in La Moskitia, Honduras. I also lived there during those two years, which gave me the opportunity to experience the community not just as a teacher, but as a member of it. I witnessed the dedication of students who faced challenges every day just to get an education. I saw how much they valued their school, their teachers, and the opportunity to learn.

Those experiences have stayed with me, and that is why I’m so excited to participate in Step Up for Students, a fundraiser supporting Reach Out Honduras and the students of IVA. I’m walking for the students I once had in my classroom, and for the families who believe education can change their children’s lives.
