Apparently one Dopey Challenge wasn’t enough, because I’m doing it again.
This time feels a little different, though. Since September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share that I’ll be running the Dopey Challenge at runDisney while raising money for Cannonball Kids’ Cancer Foundation.
I’ll be spending the next few months training for 48.6 miles over four race days, and I’m really grateful to have something bigger than a finish line motivating me through all of those early mornings and long runs.
Cannonball Kids’ Cancer helps fund research for better, safer treatments for kids with cancer. As a mom, it’s hard to even imagine what these children and their families go through, and I’m honored to be able to support an organization working to give them more options and more hope.
If you’d like to help me reach my fundraising goal, I would be so grateful for a donation of any amount. And if you aren’t able to donate, sharing my page helps too.
Thank you to everyone who supports me, cheers me on, and follows along with another very Dopey adventure. This time, every mile is for something much more important than a medal.
