Court Appointed Special Advocates act as the eyes and ears for children going through the foster care system. These representatives advocate for the child's well being, ensuring their needs are met and they are able to find stable foster homes.
I’m honored to be participating in the Eugene 5k running for CASA 2026, a fundraiser supporting CASA of Lane County! As the daughter of an immigrant, CASA's work has become very personal to me. As ICE continues to deport parents and separate families, there has been a surge of children entering the foster care system. Left unrepresented, these childrens' needs are overlooked and they suffer for it. In many cases CASA representatives are a child's only voice in the courts.
