The Dream Center LA has been on my heart for almost 11 years. I was first introduced to the ministry by our church in South Carolina. After a move to Texas and another church I was again connected with the Dream Center. The mission of helping a city by being amongst the people and just showing love in their deepest need has always tugged at my heart. I ran my first marathon 3 years ago in support of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The itch to run was in my heart and when we got relocated from Alaska to Southern California the LA Marathon got put on my bucket list. This is when two things in my heart collided. The desire to support the LA Dream Center and to run the LA Marathon became a perfect combination when I realized the Dream Center is a charity for the LA Marathon.
