For my son, Twinkle Gabriel

Twinkle Gabriel quietly entered this world on October 8, 2025, deepening our family's love and changing us forever.  I never imagined I would run a marathon, but running to honor my son's first birthday feels meaningful.

Running throughout my pregnancy helped me trust my body and feel close to my son and family.  I'd often run while talking with loved ones on the phone.  Now, postpartum, it continues to be a source of healing and a way to connect with Twinkle Gabriel. With every mile, I still carry him with me, along with the names and stories of other babies and families I've come to know.

After his stillbirth, my nursing team connected us with the Star Legacy Foundation, which supports grieving families and advances research to prevent stillbirth.  Through them, I found a bereavement group for parents navigating the loss of their babies, used their text support during difficult moments, and am participating in research aimed at helping prevent stillbirth.

If you know a child who has passed away, I'd love to learn about them, and you can include their names as part of your donation.  My family will text me their names as I take on this long and meaningful run.
