As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer back in 2023.  She received the diagnosis in Februray, and by the end of October she had lost her battle with this awful disease.  She was the kindest, most patient, loving, and beautiful person.  It was an honor to have her as my mom. She was strong-willed and the backbone of our family.  She has been gone from us for almost a year, and for me every day hurts just as much as the first day I lost her. 

So, in honor of this amazingly wonderful person that so many of us were lucky to know, I would like to run (or walk) in memory of her on October 20th.  If you can't make it, please consider donating to help find a cure for this awful disease.
