This team was founded by Kaitlyn Lambert, the daughter of Patty and Tom. Kaitlyn, currently a senior therapeutic services worker with the State of Missouri Department of Mental Health and enjoys volunteering her time at the Lung Cancer Connection of Missouri in memory of her mom. For those who don’t know, Patty passed away from Stage 4 lung and brain cancers in October 2016. Her dad, Tom was diagnosed with the same cancer in December 2023 and fought like hell through chemotherapy. This is a journal of his journey. Kaitlyn started this group to spread awareness of cancer and to continue her mom’s legacy as well as spread awareness of lung cancer.
