Waste Connections: Walking Towards a Healthier Future
At Waste Connections, we're more than just a waste management company; we're committed to creating a sustainable future for our communities, and that includes supporting the health and well-being of our neighbors. As part of our dedication to environmental stewardship, we're proud to sponsor the Run.Walk.Breathe lung cancer walkathon.
By supporting this event, we're helping to raise awareness and funds for lung cancer research and patient support. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
Join us at the Run.Walk.Breathe walkathon and let's take a stand against lung cancer.
Waste Connections is the third largest waste management facility in North America. We have garbage trucks collecting your every household trash and sending it to our landfill located in Maryland Heights Missouri, called Champ Landfill. We at Champ Landfill accept 1/5 of Missouri's trash.
Waste Connections partnered with the City of Maryland Heights to construct the Waste Connections Sustainability Campus. It is an interpretive center to learn all things sustainability and see all of what Waste Connections is doing to preserve the environment and maintain their negative carbon footprint. This is done though educational programs, tours and workshops held at the campus for the public of all ages.
The Waste Connections Sustainability Campus values the role native plants play in the ecosystem. Which is why we will be lining our nature trail with native flowers and grasses. The nature trail is actively under construction.
