It is hard to believe that November and the annual walk is less than a month away!    We will be back from Florida for the weekend to walk and support LCC.  I hope you will join me! 

I was diagnosed with Stage III on January 12, 2009, my new birthday as I like to call it. This year on January 12, 2022, I turned 13, a survivor teenager!  In 2009, my treatment was basically the same protocol that had been used for the past 25 years. Successful for some, sadly not for many.  

Now, new therapies can bring hope and improved outcomes for some patients that did not exist 13 years ago. Progress yes, but there is still so much work to be done.  Lung Cancer Awareness Month is a great time to support patients and families struggling with diagnosis and treatment and to celebrate the incredible progress research is making in the fight against lung cancer.

What a difference 13 years can make!
