The very first Salsthon in 2013 partnered with the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.
This nonprofit was created in the memory of Andrew McDonough, a Salesianum student who died at the age of 14 after a 167 day bout with AML Leukemia.
To honor his legacy, the B+ Foundation is dedicated to serving families of children with cancer through financial support, supporting childhood cancer research, advocating for those in need, and spreading a message of positivity to those in need.
The B+ Foundation is the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer in the United States. With your support, B+ is able to lessen the financial burden of bills and expenses so families can focus on helping their children get well.
