I’m honored to be participating in SARC Paws for a Cause 2026, raising funds to support the kennel at The Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center (SARC).

Many of you know how deeply I care about animals, but this cause is about so much more than pets. For many survivors of domestic and sexual violence, a beloved pet is family. Tragically, countless victims stay in dangerous situations longer because they fear what will happen to their animals or can’t find safe shelter that will accept them both.

SARC is working to change that by providing a safe haven not only for survivors, but for their pets too. Their kennel gives families the chance to escape abuse without leaving behind the animals they love.

That’s why this fundraiser matters so much.
