Bio
If you've ever been told you're "a lot" when really you just have very strong opinions and an active emotional life, then we probably have something in common.
Before finding my person, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the world. Sometimes it's loud. Sometimes it's unpredictable. Sometimes someone slams a car door outside and suddenly there are questions that need answering.
I have what Maria lovingly refers to as "big feelings." My therapist thinks so too (yes I have a dog therapist!)
The good news is that Maria has never asked me to be anything other than myself.
She understands that I can be sensitive. She knows that some noises make me lose my ever loving mind. She celebrates my victories, helps me through the hard moments, and somehow still thinks I'm almost perfect when I'm being dramatic.
Which, frankly, is the kind of support everyone deserves.
These days, I spend my time doing the things I love most. Agility? Incredible. Herding sheepies? Even better. Cuddling on the couch afterward while receiving compliments about how handsome I am? That's what I call balance.
I also happen to have the world's most enthusiastic nub tail. When I'm happy—which is often these days—my entire back end starts wiggling like it's trying to detach from the rest of my body.
And then there are the burps.
Nobody really talks about the burps until they've experienced them firsthand. Let's just say I sound less like an Australian Shepherd and more like somebody's dad after finishing a large meal.
Maria says I'm sweet, goofy, sensitive, loyal, and endlessly lovable. I think she's pretty great, too.
Turns out being someone's pawfect match doesn't mean finding someone exactly like you.
Sometimes it means finding someone who loves you exactly as you are.
