Meet my Pawfect Match: Steve Purrwin
About Me
Name: Steve Purrwin (formerly known as Mutfruit)
Age: 2.5 years old
Occupation: Certified sink boy, full-time food fiend
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Bio:
Hi, I'm Steve! I am actually an alumnus from Animal Friends Alliance! My littermates and I were found in Rawlins, WY after the trailer we were hiding under was moved to a new location. The owners of the trailer didn't know we were there until they heard us crying two days later. They tried to go back to the previous location to find our mom, but unfortunately they could not locate her. That left five tiny kittens who now needed humans to take care of them!
My littermates and I went straight into foster with my mom. I was only five weeks old and 0.94 pounds! I made my mom fall in love with me within minutes and became her little buddy when I crawled right onto her lap. When we were ready to go up for adoption, it was clear to my mom that I wasn't going anywhere.
I have the best older cat sister, Noodle. She has helped raise a lot of foster kittens, and I think she was really excited when she got to keep me around! I also grew up with a sweet golden retriever, Phoebe, who is sadly no longer around. When I was 8 months old, my mom got me my very own puppy! I think I did a pretty good job raising my brother Sully. We are best friends and get into lots of shenanigans together.
I love eating anything and everything I can get my paws on, sleeping on my mom's pillow every night, and curling up in my hammock during the day. I have a lot to say and always greet my mom when she gets home. I am pretty much purring 99.9% of the time.
Please consider donating so the organization that helped me find the perfect home can continue to do so for many more animals!

Welcome to my personal page for The Saving Pets Challenge: Pawfect Match—where every dollar helps cats and dogs find their pawfect matches!
I'm fundraising for Animal Friends Alliance, a nonprofit that's been saving lives and spreading love since 2006. What started as two separate rescues - Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic and Animal House Rescue and Grooming - paired up to become one in 2020. Now they're an adoption-guarantee shelter and affordable spay/neuter clinic helping animals in Northern Colorado and beyond.
Since their humble beginnings, Animal Friends Alliance has found pawfect matches for over 50,000 dogs and cats, spayed and neutered more than 100,000 pets, and helped over 10,000 community cats live safely outdoors.
I'm helping them raise $217,000 during the Saving Pets Challenge, and I'd love your support. Whether it's $5 or $500, your donation helps animals find homes, families, and second chances.
Join me in supporting this amazing cause!
