I have decided to make a difference for the Spina Bifida Association of Arizona by participating in their Annual Walk N Roll for Spina Bifida!

In 1995, I was born with Spina Bifida Occulta Sacral Agenesis. From then on I've faced so many medical issues. 20 surgeries, 3 birthdays in the hospital, and what feels like a MILLION nights spent in the hospital. On the outside I look completely normal... my condition is "invisible" but not a day goes by I don't fight some battle. My hope is to make this journey easy... more medical coverage, more accessibility, etc. Together we can conquer anything! 

There are 3-5 babies each month in Maricopa County that are born with Spina Bifida. This birth condition has lifelong implications including a high number of critcal surgeries to fulltime wheelchair use. Most young families really benefit from the support offered through the gatherings and programs facilitated by SBAAZ.
