Many of you know that for many years, I've been training in Seido karate at Thousand Waves Martial Arts and Self Defense Center. Currently, I'm preparing to test for my Advanced Brown Belt, which is the level right under Black Belt....so exciting!

Let me tell you about this fantastic organization that I've been lucky to be part of not only as a student, but as a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors. Thousand Waves is so much more than a karate school - it's a non-profit organization that provides crtical self-defense and violence prevention programs to underserved individuals and communities at low cost or no cost.

None of their amazing work would be possible without the efforts of the Thousand Waves community and the support of our family, friends, and colleagues. That is why I'm reaching out to ask for your support during Spirit Challenge, the annual fundraiser.
