Thousand Waves is an organization that has been striving to end violence and create peacemakers. This place is beautiful. Kids and adults alike aren't just taught how to fight, they are taught when to fight, and how to end violence. Karate itself is beautiful, it is not a sport, it is an art. This organization is non-profit and seeks to benefit everyone's lives by creating peacemakers and ending violence. Anyone can train, even people with disabilities in the ASK program. Even people with budget restrictions can train.

However, Thousand Waves cannot succeed and help people unless you help them. Spirit Challenge is a fun and demanding week of challenges that tests your strength, speed, and most of all, endurance. As I recieved my Black Belt in November of last year, I am privileged to be taking on this challenge. Thousand Waves has helped me gain humility, strength, honor, compassion, and courage. To make sure others can learn the same, join me in rasing money to keep Thousand Waves and its belief's from dying!

Karate is beautiful, elegant, and most of all, rewarding. THis is not the way of a fighter, as many presume. I have been taught at Thousand Waves for 6 out of the 11 years of my life. Never have I been taught to start a fight. Karate is only necessary when a fight is unavoidable. Then you can defend yourself. How would you feel if someone you loved was kidnapped because they couldn't fight back. Karate hepls more people than it hurts. I, Charles Thomas "Charlie" Mazzeo, Junior Shodan of Thousand Waves will support this organization, and keep it from crumbling down! I have told my story. The choice is yours, help a noble cause, or die with the guilt of not.(Unless you barely have enough to live on, then I understand.
