I am fundraing for my Sedio karate dojo, Thousand Waves, because this organization has done so much for me and others. They have helped me when I am angry or sad by teaching me strategies to keep calm and think of my next class, my next kata, or my next match Anyway I look at it, karate has made me a better person and I'd like to help them extend that gift to others.
The purpose of Thousand Waves is to better your mind and body so you are the best you. They achieve these goals by teaching peaceful resolution and non-violent actions. I consider this place a second home that welcomes all kids and adults from every walk of life.
Any money that you donate will help people who can't afford karate classes by providing scholarships. You can donate any amount and it will help--if you can spare $5, $10, or even more, it will help so many people get the kind of training that will help change lives for the better.
