Calling all Junior High and High School students and teachers!
Please note: All students under 18 years of age are required to have consent of a parent or guardian to participate.
We have a great way for your school to support the community and have a blast this winter! Join us on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at North Avenue Beach for the Annual Polar Plunge® Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities. Last year we had over 400 students from more than 20 area schools participate and we want your school to be a part of this incredible event!
Junior High and High School Plungers have a reduced fundraising minimum of $100. You will receive a free souvenir shirt, towel, and the opportunity to win amazing fundraising incentives. If your team has more than 20 members, you'll be eligible for bus transportation to and from North Avenue Beach for the event.
Each school must designate an employee or responsible adult who will serve as team contact and point person. All students under 18 years of age are required to have consent of a parent or guardian to participate.
Don't miss our biggest event of the year! Join us at North Avenue Beach on Sunday, March 1 to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Chicago!
Whether you go knee-high, waist-high or all the way under, make a splash and sign up today!
For any other questions, please contact us at events@specialchildrenscharities.org.
