On Sunday, March 1, 2026, our team will participate in Polar Plunge® Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois, presented by Special Children’s Charities—one of the city’s most popular winter fundraising events. We are excited to take on the challenge and plunge into Lake Michigan’s chilly waters in support of incredible Special Olympics Chicago athletes who train and compete year-round across the city. All funds raised directly benefit these athletes by helping cover essential program costs such as transportation, sports equipment, team uniforms, and meals. With your support, individuals with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, build confidence, and experience success through sport.
Saint Patrick High School has proudly participated in the Polar Plunge for eight years and is honored that the Nee family will partner with us once again. It has become a tradition our students genuinely look forward to each winter. What started as a single event has grown into a meaningful school-wide effort that brings students, faculty, alumni, and families together. Our students embrace the challenge, the teamwork, and the purpose behind the plunge, knowing they are making a real impact. It’s a day filled with school spirit, laughter, and pride in supporting the Special Olympics community.
