Food insecurity does not always look the way people expect. Many of the neighbors served are working families, seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, people with disabilities and households experiencing temporary hardship.

Food insecurity continues to affect one in eight people across our region, including one in five children. While the causes are complex, we know the solution requires community support, strong nutrition programs and continued investment in our neighbors.

I am organizing a food and donation drive to benefit Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to support our local communities who are impacted by the loss of SNAP benefits.

There are two ways you can help.

1. Individuals can make an online donation that will go directly to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.  For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can provide up to 3 meals for the children, families and seniors they serve across Southwestern PA.

2. Anyone interested in donating items can drop them off at my district offices from:
