The Maziar Rezvani Memorial PANS Awareness Walk supporting Southeastern PANS/PANDAS Association, will be held October 19th, 2019, at
VENUE CHANGE
Simpsonwood United Methodist Church
4500 Jones Bridge Cir NW
Peachtree Corners, GA 30092
When your child gets sick, where is the first place you go for medical care? Your pediatrician.
When your child developed symptoms of PANS/PANDAS, did you go to your general pediatrician? Did they quickly identify the symptoms and take steps to make an accurate diagnosis? Did they treat your child quickly and aggressively in accord with the standards developed by expert clinicians?
Sadly, for most PANS/PANDAS families, the answers to the questions are all a resounding “NO!”.
SEPPA’s 2019 Awareness Walk aims to change that reality for children and families in the southeast.
Join us in person or walk in your community at our second PANS Awareness Day walk and fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $75,000 by PANS/PANDAS Awareness Day: October 9, 2019.
If we hit this goal, SEPPA representatives will personally provide current, rigorous, scientifically sound information about how to identify, diagnose and treat PANS and PANDAS to at least 5,000 pediatric providers in the Southeast between now and the end of 2020.
Do you want to be a part of our movement to expand access to expert care in our region? Join us as a walker or a team leader! Each walker who hits a $250 goal will fund outreach to 10 pediatricians. Each team that hits a $2500 goal will get materials into the hands of 250 providers!
About the Walk
Walkers are encouraged to arrive at 10 a.m. to meet other families and find support in our community. At 10:45 a.m. we will give out awards and make a few announcements before the walk begins. At 11:00 a.m., families will walk a path through the park, approximately 1 mile.
If You Can’t Make It
If you can’t make the drive to Roswell, we encourage you to still participate and walk in your own local park or neighborhood! You can still register here to participate and raise funds and awareness where you live.
