Where is the walk-a-thon taking place?
The walk-a-thon will take place on the track behind Stepinac High School at 950 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains, N.Y. Please note that we CANNOT park on Stepinac’s property because of other events taking place inside the building that morning. See #2 below for parking options.

Where can I park for the event?
You are welcome to park in the Stepinac High School parking lot directly behind the school. 

Will the walk-a-thon take place if it rains?
The event will take place, rain or shine. We regret that we cannot refund registration fees. If you registered by June 5 and opt not to come to the walk, you may contact us to make arrangements to pick up your T-shirt.

What time is registration on the day of the event?
Registration will be from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. on the track at Stepinac. The walk will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.

When can I pick up my T-shirt?
T-shirts will be picked up during registration, from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event. We hope to have the shirts available on Friday, June 13 between 3 and 5 p.m. If you’d like to pick up your shirt on Friday at the provincialate office, then please e-mail walkathon@capuchin.org or call (914) 761-3008 to confirm that the shirts are available. The address is 30 Gedney Park Drive in White Plains. You’re welcome to pick up shirts for your team members.

How far do I have to walk for the walk-A-thon?
The walk-a-thon will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. There is no minimum distance required. There will be activities for your team to participate in during the walk if you’d like to compete for additional prizes. We will distribute a checklist of these items during registration that morning.

I’d like to attend the event, but I don’t feel up to walking. Is there some other way I can participate? 
Yes! All are welcome and encouraged to attend to support the walkers and the cause! There will be light refreshments as well as games and activities. There will be music all morning and a fun, festive atmosphere.

Will you have any food or drinks available at the event?
Yes, we will have coffee and water for all walk participants. We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle so we can reduce waste. In addition, we will have some fruit and breakfast snacks available.

How can friends support my walk?
Our event website makes it easy for friends and family to sponsor event participants. Once you have registered, you’ll have the option to share your page by e-mail or social media. If you’re on your phone or a tablet, go to the event page, and it’s easy to share the link via text message.
