About Small Goals, Big Change Chicago
Small Goals, Big Change (SGBC) Chicago is a one-day 7v7 tournament that will bring together soccer players from across the city for a high-energy, high-impact competition.
Supporting the CJ Brown Foundation and Soccer Without Borders, your participation in the tournament will help empower under-resourced youth on the South and West sides of Chicago through free soccer and educational programming, provided by the CJ Brown Foundation, with partnership from Soccer Without Borders.
This isn’t just a tournament—it’s a movement. Whether you're in it to win or simply to connect through the game, your participation helps build a safe, inclusive, and more welcoming community, one goal at a time.
Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Team registration closes April 9!
Time: 10:30am – 3:00 PM (est. end time)
Location: Sofive La Pershing, 3900 S. Ashland Ave.
Team Fundraising Goal: $2,000*
*Teams must commit to contributing or raising at least $1,000 in order to register. Teams that reach or surpass the $2,000 fundraising goal will be eligible for additional prizes and perks.
Format:
The tournament will include both adult and youth (U10-U12) brackets, with exact numbers dependent upon registration.
- Adult Play Format: 7v7, up to 10 players per team
- Youth Play Format: 5v5, up to 10 players per team
What’s Included: 3 guaranteed games, free t-shirts and snacks, adult and youth brackets, prizes for the winning team and the highest fundraising team
Experience the joy of soccer and community. The tournament will kick-off with an Opening Circle activity, giving participants a chance to get to know one another and build connections. We will end the tournament with shout-outs and positivity points, bringing principles and values of Soccer Without Borders and the CJ Brown Foundation to life. Stay after to join us for more cheer!
