Missouri’s Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) offers a 50% state tax credit, so your gift has a greater impact at a lower net cost—with added benefits for 1099 earners who can offset what they owe in state taxes.
Example: A $1,000 gift in 2026 earns a $500 (50%) tax credit for 2026, plus a potential $205 in additional tax deductions. (See attachment for specifics.)
