Micah and Lucas, in true brother fashion, are best friends and cohorts in mischief; they are each other's primary antagonist and eager advocate! They both enjoy doing many things together like swinging, swimming, music, Paw Patrol or construction imaginative play, obstacle coarses in therapy, helping Dad or Mom do an activity, and enjoying our family dog and cats. As they are growing up, they are finding their own unique interests. Lucas loves all sport activities, biking, reading story books, water slides, and Parkour. Micah loves all vehicles (especially construction), Legos, reading children's dictionaries or science books, and making conversation and meeting new people.

The boys also happen to have a third copy of the 21st chromosome commonly known as Down Syndrome, or Trisomy 21. With this diagnosis comes many unknowns, but far more love than we could've ever imagined. We found ourselves blessed to get involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin - Sheboygan & Surrounding Area. Through DSAW we've made many connections, been provided resources, attended in person and virtual events, and gained support with an incredible community!

Whether it's a friend, a family member, or neighbor down the street, we almost all know someone with Down syndrome or related disabilities. Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of these individuals. We are proud to be part of the DSAW- Sheboygan Mini Golf & Walk Fundraiser because it means so much to us and to our family.

Now more than ever, your support of DSAW is crucial. Although DSAW's offices have been closed for over 12 months, the dreams of people with Down syndrome are NOT on hold.
