Event Details

Arrival:

This year's Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Walk will be held at the Mayville Gun Club. 

Pre Walk Rally:

Help us kick off the walk at 11:00am and find out who won the Raffle Prizes, Silent Auction items. Special appearances by the famous Klements Sausage Racers. Be entertained with live music by the Driftless Bluegrass, enjoy a free massage, and have fun at our craft table. 

Walk:

Enjoy a 1 mile leisurely stroll through stoller-friendly nature trails. A 2 mile trail is available for those who'd like to walk farther; however, it is not stroller friendly.

Bean Bag Tournament:

A 2 person team competes for CASH prizes! Register with a teammate, or register as a single player and we'll find a teammate for you!

Registration

Onsite registration will be accepted at the walk but t-shirts are only guaranteed to those who pre-register by Friday, September 23, 2016.

Online and hard-copy pre-registration will be accepted until 12:00pm (noon) CST on Thursday, October 13, 2016. 

Top Fundraising Prizes

There will be CASH PRIZES of $300 to the top fundraising team and $200 to the top individual fundraiser.

To qualify for our top fundraising prizes, all donations must be made online by October 13 at 11:59pm CST. Cash and check donations must be turned in to our Walk Chair or received in our mailbox by October 13 at 12:00pm (noon) to qualify. Mail your donations to our address, or schedule a time to drop off donations with Joy: joy@dsaw.org.

DSAW’s Down Syndrome Awareness Walks bring people together to celebrate Down syndrome in our communities, focusing on the possABILITIES and not the DISabilities. Proceeds will help to support individuals with Down Syndrome, along with their family and friends, and will provide support to Manitowoc, Fond Du Lac, Dodge & Sheboygan counties. It’s fun for families and friends. It builds camaraderie among neighbors and co-workers. And, above all, it is an event that you will feel good about being a part of!
