Why I'm A Shoe Guy
Golf shoes, pickleball sneakers, and flip-flops make up my entire shoe collection, so I am clearly not in this for the fashion. I love being part of the Shoe Crew because it is such a fun and effective way to give back. Most of the time we look ridiculous, a bunch of men completely out of our element, and that is the secret. One disarming moment gets the room laughing, and a laughing room opens its wallets. If you know me, you know I'm happy to laugh at my own expense. Giving up one evening to help families going through the hardest days of their lives is an easy call. Heck, I'd wear the heels if it would help, assuming you can find a pair in a men's size 13.
Why I support Ronald McDonald House
When your child is sick, your whole world shrinks to a hospital room. Families going through that kind of stress deserve more than our sympathy from a distance. Ronald McDonald House in Wilmington gives them a home away from home: a bed, a hot meal, a quiet place to breathe, and other parents who understand. It keeps moms and dads physically and emotionally on their feet so they can give 100% to their kids when it matters most.
Please help me take care of these families during the hardest stretch of their lives. Donate, share this page, and come find me at the event. I'll be the guy holding the shoes and talking a big game.
Your gift keeps a family together, and that is the best fit there is.
