Roller Derby is a fun and empowering sport. I believe I can do anything when I am skating. In derby, I have learned just how strong I am. My legs are my best feature because they are powerful and help me break through walls on and off the track.

I love the friends I have made through derby. We may compete against each other in bouts but we are great friends all the time. I know that the friends I have made through derby will be friends for life.

My derby friends and I miss having a permanent place to skate and hang out. It would be great if we could raise enough money to build a new home.

P.S. Seattle Derby Brats is a 100% all volunteer run organization. No one receives a salary. All money received goes directly into funding the skater's experience, from track time to fun events like the All-Night Skate to providing every player with a jersey. We have about 180 skaters in our league. That's a lot of jerseys!

Both of my parents volunteer with Seattle Derby Brats. We are a Derby Family! They have seen how empowering this sport is for young athletes and they believe in giving their time so all skaters can skate in bouts and learn during practices.
