I am a proud and honored member of the Leadership Columbus 2019 Class.  I began my Leadership Columbus journey in September of 2018 and through the program have met so many amazing people, been educated on signficant issues facing our communty and exposed to awesome organizations like Huckleberry House that are working to address our community's challenges. 

Huckleberry House is working to prevent and end youth homelessness in Central Ohio. In 2017, more than 1,300 youth ages 14–24 were served in Columbus and Franklin County shelters, 532 of them were teenagers who found safety at Huck House's crisis shelter.  They also ended the path to chronic homelessness for 76 young adults (18-22) who graduated from our Transitional Living Program, equipped with an education and/or employment and the life skills needed to live independently in permanent housing.

My wife Kim and I are raising two teenagers, and we are all blesssed to have roof over our heads and a wonderful support network of family and friends.  I can't even imagine how tough it is for teenagers facing personal crisis without a safe place to stay and a network of friends and family.  Thanks to Huck House, they do!

On April 12th I am joining Sleep Out 2019 with a goal of raising awareness about youth homelessness in our community and to help raise funds that can further support the great work of Huck House.  Please consider a donationa and remember, no donation is too small to make a BIG impact!
