It started with this innate fear I've always had for losing a child. My cousins and sister had miscarriages. 

In 2012 I met Ashley, who had 3 stillbirth deliveries. I honestly didn't know what stillbirth was nor how common it unfortunately occurs.

Shortly after meeting her and becoming friends, several friends and family were experiencing stillbirths. In a manner of weeks, I attended two funerals: Adam and Charlotte.

 That was the year we all discovered the Star Legacy Foundation.

My best friend in high school asked me to be Charlotte's godmother. I threw them a baby shower and bought a pack & play for her.  One fateful day I got a phone call about her death. I missed the chance to hold her in my arms. Now every year I walk for Charlotte, and family member's angels every where.

Although I have that fear, I've never physically experienced that kindkind of loss. I walk for the parents who lost children through miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, and even as adults. I want to say, I see you.
