Why I am Participating:
Rachel Dalton is a wife, mother, writer, animal lover and avid reader who enjoys spending time with her family biking the Black Water Creek Trail, hiking the Peaks of Otter, and doing anything in and by the water. She is an exercise hobbyist devoted to health, wellness and her community. It is through this passion that Rachel is honored to be a part of the Sole Stars Campaign to help Educate, Advocate, and Eradicate breast cancer. Like so many others, Rachel has friends and family directly impacted by this disease and is eager to fundraise for this worthy cause.
Rachel grew up in Bedford County, moved to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University, ultimately staying to pursue a career in marketing and communications. After meeting her husband, Rachel returned to Lynchburg and became active in many non-profit organizations, melding her interest in communications and dedication to community advocacy. She has served on the board of the Miller Home for Girls in various roles including Treasurer and Vice President while spearheading events such as the annual Phil Vassar Concert, Fall Golf Tournament, and Summer Walk. She has served on the board of the Lynchburg Humane Society and is an active member of Hillside Garden Club. Rachel enjoys her work as a freelance writer and is a proud contributor to Lynchburg Living Magazine.
Rachel is honored to be working toward the same goal alongside such an esteemed and diverse group of Lynchburg community supporters to advocate on behalf of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. She has high hopes that you will consider donating with pride and know the impact every dollar will make in our community and throughout the Commonwealth.
