I've donated to Solid Ground for years because the pain of povery in the great Seattle area is evident on every bus I take, on every walk down every cute little neighborhood center, and in some of my friends and contacts who have struggled to keep up with the massive increase in the cost of living here. I like that Solid Ground has a program to keep folks who are on the cusp of homelessness in their homes. I like that there's something I can do - even if it just means giving a little money.
