$1906 is the amount of Fair Market Rent for a 2-bedroom apartment in King County. In my nearly 10 years working at Solid Ground, I have specialized in programs that provide shelter to families, assist families experiencing homelessness to find and stabilize in housing, and to prevent families and individuals from being evicted and becoming homeless. Solid Ground also has many other amazing programs that work on issues of food justice, provide legal assistance for obtaining state benefits, enable people experiencing poverty to advocate directly to lawmakers, and so much more.

Solid Ground supports people across the Seattle/King County region as they meet their basic needs, build stability in their lives, and remove barriers to thrive – so everyone can achieve their full potential. Despite the darkest moments of the pandemic and the last year, I'm inspired by the brilliance, passion, and compassion that Solid Ground's communities have shown.
