Additional information for volunteers: Our mission is to process the material collected by the volunteers in the field and to break it down by category for processing. We sort as it comes in with the peak at mid-day. We also clean up the area we used all day. This includes making it neat and presentable to the public. It also promotes an ease of handling by the Greenfield DPW when it removes the material by category on the following Monday. We also make it a point to contact stores if we recover any of their grocery carts for their return. We also endeavor to return intact and still usable items to their owner if possible or to find a new home for their use.
