The Sonoma Plein Air Festival returns the week of September 14–19, 2026, bringing together 30 nationally renowned plein air artists for a week of painting, community events, and celebration in Sonoma Valley.
A hightlight of the week will be the Gala evening at Hanna Center! Our theme is BE PART OF THE ART!

Art has no dress code - and neither does this gala! Celebrate our theme, BE PART OF THE ART, by wearing colorful cocktail attire that reflects your personality. Bright colors, artistic prints and accessories, or a favorite statement piece - we can't wait to see the living gallery our guests will create together!
Proceeds from the Gala and 40% of all painting sales directly support creativity development and arts educationfor the children and youth of Sonoma Valley through grants to public schools and nonprofit organizations. To learn more about our grants and scholarships, visit our website.
