Santa Paws 5K & Fun Run

Not only have I had the opportunity to see the number of animal and human lives the SPCA of Wake County has changed through my time working there, but I have also experienced first hand as an adopter. This past June, I adopted Calliope (Callie) from the SPCA. When I first met Calle,she was one of the animals being read to as part of the SPCA's "Cat Tales Summer Reading Adventure" program. As I saw her snuggling with everyone who came into her room, I knew she was the dog I had been looking for and adopted her the same day. Since that day, I have had the privilege of seeing her come out of her shell, experience new things (like boat rides), and try to make friends with everyone, whether they have two- or four-legs. By donating today, you are making a difference in the lives of more animals like Callie, who will bring as much joy to the lives as their new families as she has brought to mine.


