Imagine being a young child who is a wheelchair user. Imagine what it feels like to watch other children participate in sports from the sideline. Imagine not having the opportunity to play team or individual sports because you have a disability.
When Bryce lost the ability to walk 6 years ago, this is what he was experiencing. We thought our sweet boy would never be able to feel the satisfaction of competition or team sport. Little did we know there was an amazing organization who knew many children and adults were facing this same challenge! SPORTABLE!
Since Bryce joined Sportable, he has been able to rock climb, shoot arrows in archery, play wheelchair basketball, score goals in wheelchair soccer, swim, and burn up the trails on his adaptive bicycle! He has felt the thrill of competition and the sense of community that only being an athlete and teammate can provide!
On Saturday September 19th @ 3pm, we will tailgate to raise money for Sportable! Please join us at our home, 10804 Erin Green Ct., for food and drinks, corn hole, volleyball, outdoor movies, fun and fellowship as we tailgate to raise funds for Sportable! Please donate, wear orange, bring your own lawn chairs and beverage of choice and we will provide everything else!
