Tailgate Season is BACK…oh it's back, and I'm so grateful my team at Proximity Realty is a proud sponsor helping to drive Sportable's mission forward, providing the best adapted sports for athletes with physical disabilities in Virginia (if not the nation).

Joe Farrell, Forrest Lodge and I launched CP Soccer VA in 2019 serving over 40 athletes from all over VA through our grassroots soccer non-profit for athletes with cerebral palsy, stroke, and traumatic brain injury, which you may see on my social media stories. Sportable holds a special part in my life because it provide a community and opportunities that transform lives of youth and adults in a way that wasn't as readly available when I was growing up.

I get to see youth who are sometimes viewed as limited by society blossom with confidence, determination, smiles, skills, and developing friendships all while playing the beautiful game of soccer.

This year alone it's worth highlighting some athlete achievements shared from their parents:

• SOCA Challenge All Star team selection

• Global Camp 2023 attendance (New York)

• Global Men's International Tournament appearance (New York)

I hope to see you September 21st to hang with athletes, coaches, donors, and staff for more raffles, door prizes, music, pizza, and a cash bar at Triple Crossing - Fulton Hill.
