Six years ago my brother Zachary (Zach) Mereen passed away from complications due to his Cerebral Palsy; he would have turned 22 years old this week. For his whole life, Zach was entirely physically dependent upon others and completely wheelchair-bound. Zach was present at most of my sporting events growing up and it is one of the things I remember most fondly.  

To honor his memory, I will be completing a 5K on Saturday, September 18 in a wheelchair and raising funds in support of Sportable's important mission: to create opportunities and transform the lives of individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments.
