Hey Friends! Thank you for visiting my Sportable Tailgate fundraising page!

I have enjoyed volunteering with Sportable for some time as a speaker, coach, and most recently Associate Board member. Sportable was an essential component when I co-found CP Soccer VA alongside Joe Farrell and Forrest Lodge, creating a grassroots soccer program for youth athletes with cerebral palsy, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. Two years since its launch in October 2020, I’ve been able to coach athletes coming to Richmond from all over the state. 

While coaching, I get to witness athletes discover confidence and independence, create new friendships, and develop new skills while playing soccer and having fun! Coming from a retired US Paralympic Men’s National Team player, this kind of community didn’t exist growing up. So far, CP Soccer VA has trained over thirty youth athletes, empowered an athlete to try out for their middle school soccer team, and another to play in an under-15 international friendly against Ireland while attending the Global CP Soccer Camp. This is only the beginning!

A $5 donation gets you in the door for the event a Triple Crossing Beer - Fulton! There will be raffles, live music, food, games, a cash bar, and Sportable swag for sale. There will be a prize for "best dressed" so make sure you wear your best orange and/orblue attire!
