On September 21st, I’ll be hitting the road to celebrate Sportable’s annual Tailgate Season. I’m biking from Buffalo to New York City, covering just over 700 miles on the Empire State Trail with 20 fellow riders.

I’m riding to honor the hundreds of athletes who have shown what’s possible through Sportable’s programs since 2005, and to raise funds that will help continue our work of creating opportunities and transforming lives. The
strength, joy, and resilience that our athletes display every day remind me why our mission matters and why we keep pushing relentlessly forward together.

My goal is to raise $50,000 for Sportable's mission of creating opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and those requiring physical accommodations through sport, recreation, health, and wellness. Every contribution helps more athletes experience the life-changing power of adaptive sports and recreation.

The Empire State Trail was launched in 2017 to promote outdoor recreation, encourage healthy lifestyles, support community vitality, and bolster tourism-related economic development. The 750-mile trail welcomes bicyclists and walkers of all ages and abilities to experience the Empire State’s iconic landscapes. It’s a beautiful route and the perfect way to celebrate how far Sportable has come and how far we can go with your support!
