Helping our community's youth LeAP into Scouting

The Denver Area Council strives to make Scouting available to all youth that want to participate. The LeAP program launched in 2012, bringing Boy Scouts of America programs to youth in the Denver Metro area who are affected by economic and social hardships. Many LeAP participants come from families that are struggling to make ends meet with children often identified as at-risk youth. LeAP participants benefit from structured, after-school or community center-based programs which offer safe space.

LeAP also provides activities for the Scouting family, and offers paid program aides, mentors, and volunteers that serve as leaders for each program. All paid adults are trained in youth protection and leader specific training for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturing. Today LeAP partners with 100 schools, churches and community organizations

Proceeds from the Sports Breakfast will support our Investment in Character fund. Scouting makes a difference for youth, families, and our community in many ways, and in these turbulent times, youth need Scouting more than ever, and Scouting needs you!
