As many of you know, educating our K-12 students with rich curriculum and amazing learning opportunities in an environment that creates life-long learners who are passionate about education and who develop a strong belief in making the world a better place, has been my mission. To support this mission, we must have great public schools, and private unrestricted dollars are critical in providing enrichment and supporting needs where public funds cannot be used. When I was teaching in the Shoreline School District, I saw firsthand how the grants that I received from the Shoreline Foundation made a tremendous difference in my students’ learning. Now more than ever, we need to surround our teachers and students with love, encouragement and deep fiscal support. Philanthropic support of the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation provides students and educators with opportunities to enrich and enhance the standard curriculum for even greater engagement and learning.
