Overlook Neighborhood School Supply Drive

Between August 1 and August 15, Overlook neighbors can support teachers and students with the resources they need to succeed through Classroom Central 9 School Tools school supply fundraiser.

In an effort to support local educators and students, Overlook has launched a school supply drive, partnering with Classroom Central. The goal is to collect essential classroom materials, providing teachers with the resources they need to create a positive learning environment and equipping students with the tools required to focus on their studies.

The ZIP code where we live, 28216, is one of six Public Health Priority Areas in Mecklenburg County, meaning that teachers and schools in our ZIP code need extra help to ensure that all students have the opportunity to thrive. Without basic supplies like pencils and books, children living in poverty face greater barriers to learning than their classmates.
