I feel really blessed to be a part of Steps for Redemption: A 5K for Life.

Over the years, I’ve had a front-row seat to the work of the Morning Center through my beautiful wife, Pia Jo. I’ve heard the stories around our dinner table, seen the late nights, prayed through hard moments, and watched firsthand what happens when moms are met with real care and real love.

This mission matters deeply to me because I’ve seen the impact up close.

I’ve watched women walk through the doors scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what comes next. I’ve also seen what happens when someone finally feels seen, cared for, and reminded they are not alone.

The Morning Center provides free, Jesus-centered medical care for medically underserved women who may not have support anywhere else. It is not rushed or transactional. It is deeply relational and the impact and openness the presence-centered environment creates continues to blow me away.  

That’s why I’m taking my steps on June 6.

If you’d like to support my page, every gift helps provide life-affirming prenatal and postpartum care for moms and babies who need it. And if giving is not possible, your prayers and sharing this page mean a lot too.

WHY WE RUN

Each year, thousands of pregnant women find themselves without access to the medical care they need. Nearly 1 in 4 mothers in the U.S. miss early prenatal care, and a significant percentage of pregnancy-related deaths are linked to a lack of timely, preventive care.

We run to help close that gap.

We run for moms in medically underserved communities— women too often left to navigate pregnancy without the support, resources, and medical care they deserve.

Every step brings awareness to this reality and moves us one step closer to closing that gap.

Because God is a Redeemer— the One who brings beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3)— every step becomes part of a greater story of redemption by turning lack into care, fear into support, and uncertainty into hope.

Every dollar raised helps expand access to free, life-affirming medical care, and healthy beginnings for moms and babies.
