This exciting community celebration is open to everyone, whether you're part of the Down syndrome community or a passionate ally ready to step up and make a difference.

Can’t attend in person? No problem, you can still walk in your own community or donate to support a team.

In Baltimore:

Saturday, October 24th at 10AM

South Baltimore's beautiful West Covington Park: 101 W Cromwell Street

Public Transportation. The location is deliberately located on a low-cost Baltimore bus line and is accessible by the FREE Charm City Circulator Cherry line.

- Face painting and costumed characters
- Prizes, games, and local family resources
- A remembrance section honoring loved ones with Down syndrome
- A chance to pledge your support as an advocate

9:30am - On-Site Walk Registration

9:45am - Team Photos

10am - Welcome Program

10:21am - Walk begins!

10:45am - Vendors, Resources, Games, Face Painting Teen & Adult Lounge OPEN!

1pm - Event clean up

Salisbury Walk-a-thon

DSAmd walk-a-thon participants can park all around City Park and downtown Salisbury:

We have secured FREE PARKING permission at Wicomico Middle School: 635 E Main St, Salisbury, MD 21804

DO NOT PARK at the Renal Care Dialysis Center or the Tire Center.

Things to Know

What to bring: cart, stroller, wagon for transporting your supplies, blanket, chairs, snacks. 

Rain or shine: bring your shade (fan, hat, sunscreen) and/or rain gear (boots, jackets, umbrellas).

Pets: For the safety and comfort of all guests, we ask that pets stay home unless they are certified service animals.

Walk Distance: The walk routes are short, family-friendly, and accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. It’s designed so everyone can participate at their own pace.

Accessibility: Please contact DSAmd for instructions and support with dropping off gear, individuals with disabilities who have mobility or safety concerns. We will assign a volunteer and contact person to support you: info@DSAmd.org 

Activities: Get ready for fun for all ages! Enjoy inflatables, games, music, face painting, crafts, and more. Vendor booths will also offer interactive experiences, giveaways, and resources for families. Stay tuned as we announce even more exciting features leading up to the events!
